Competencies (knowledge/skills) The successful candidate should have the ability to work with heavy-duty household/cleaning equipment. They should also be willing to work shifts, night duty, and on public holidays. Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures of a hospital/clinic environment is essential.
Duties The successful candidate is responsible for rendering an effective, efficient, and safe hygiene service in the hospital. They should also be able to correctly handle and dispose of waste and medical waste, as well as soiled linen. They should assist with duties regarding the Central Sterilization Services Department and render support to their supervisor.
